About me

My name is Amelia Sturdy, HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) registered Art Psychotherapist with over 20 years’ experience supporting the emotional wellbeing of children and young people. I have worked across charities, the NHS, schools and in private practice.

My approach is calm, warm, non -directive and playful. I’m passionate about helping young people to gain a better understanding of who they are and to support them with the struggles they are facing.

I provide art therapy for primary-aged children, adolescents, and young adults, tailoring each session to the individual. My approach combines psychodynamic and person-centred principles, creating a safe, creative, and supportive space where feelings, experiences, and relationships can be explored.

Three year training to Masters level, BAAT ( British Association of Art Therapists) and BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) member with up to date DBS, Safeguarding children, self-harm and suicide training.
